Anti-tobacco campaign + smoking ban in public places

Hey,

today we first commented on the latest / the most recent French anti-tobacco campaign. Here is what we said about it:

PRESENT: represent /show /depict

DESCRIBE: 3 characters are smoking. There is a hand on the heads of the characters. The hand is a man's hand (he is wearing a suit).

COMMENT: I suppose the hand represents the parent. I don't agree. For me, it symbolizes dependence to cigarettes and the teenager is forced into smoking. It's as if he were / was having oral sex.

PERSONAL OPINION: It's shocking.

Then we continued the lesson with the help of the teaching assistant and you had to develop ideas for and against the smoking ban in public places.

For: "to be written by Jessica (Group1) / Aurélie (Group 2)"

Against: "to be written by Faiza
(Group1) / Sarah T. (Group 2)"

In the end, you were given a report about the evolution of the ban in the UK, the positive and negative impacts on people and society in general.

HW: get prepared to draw a little recap of what we have said during the debate at the beginning of next time's session.
