Analysis of the triptych

Hey,

 

today we worked on the analysis of the 3 documents about Oliver Twist. Here is what we said in the end about the differences and similarities with the original text.

 

Differences and similarities:

The scene takes place in the evening in the 1st picture but it's different in the 2nd picture. It takes place in the afternoon.

In the text, the cook is wearing a cook's uniform whereas in the first picture the cook is a "master".

In both documents, the gruel / soup is served out and it disappears very fast. The boys are really hungry in both documents.

They are whispering and looking at / winking at Oliver in both pictures.

Oliver asks for more soup. The master turns pale because he is angry and surprised / astonished.
