Analysis of the play

Hi guys,

today after making it clear that your copybooks had to be improved, we continued the lesson about the play "A Royal Execution".

Here is what we said about the attitudes of the characters:

Henry is furious and jealous. He thinks it's insulting that his wife Anne Bolyen has a lover.

Anne is shocked when she sees Percy, her lover, speaking in court.

Percy is scared. He loves Anne Boleyn (the Queen). He thinks he will be beheaded because of high treason.

Anne is desperate because she thinks she's going to be executed.

At the end, Anne Boleyn is scared (she screams), Percy is resigned (he sighs). Henry smiles; he is satisfied with the verdict.

The jury is extremely happy (they cheer) because Anne Boleyn will be executed. Her crime is high treason.
