English Day by Day is designed for school students to improve their performance in the English language.
Hey,
today you first took a vocabulary test about the lesson. You need to create word banks about "mobile phones", "accidents", "how to express opinion", "feelings (positive and negative)", etc... if you haven't done so, so far.
Then we continued the lesson with the listening of the last part of the document. We particularly focused our attention on the feelings of the characters and on the catch-phrase. Here is what we said:
The catch-phrase:
YOU DON’T HAVE TO BE IN A CAR TO CAUSE A CRASH. Think !
WHEN YOU ARE DRIVING, KILL THE CONVERSATION.
The catch-phrase means that it is not necessary to be the driver to create an accident. You must stop the conversation when you know someone is driving and on the phone at the same time.
HW: you need to create an opinion poll with at least 10 questions about mobile phone usage and fill in this poll. Get prepared to talk about your mobile phone usage at the beginning of the class.
