we did a quick recap of what we had said before about the video and we continued to comment on it with another scene. We made hypotheses about what was going to happen and what happened. Then we checked what you had supposed with the screening of the following scene. Here is what we wrote:
The soldiers must protect the civilians against the IRA. The soldiers think people are terrorists. A lawyer mayhave to defend the thief against the accusations of the gunmen.
A war / riotmight happen / break out between the character / Irish civilians and the gunmen / British soldiers.
The Irish civilians act together against the army. They might haveset a trap against the soldiers. The soldiers thought Jerry was a terrorist / a member of the I.R.A.
The soldiers were not correct / were wrong / were mistaken. They made a mistake.
Exprimer l’hypothèse: - We can suppose the IRA planted the bomb in the restaurant = - The IRA might have planted the bomb.
Remember
Might have + p.passé = outil de la supposition sur un événement passé. Might + V-infinitif = outil de la supposition sur le présent ou l'avenir.
