Today,
after the three fire drills in a row, you were finally able to have a normal hour of class.
We watched the trailer from the movie "Gattaca" again and we finished filling in the blanks of the chart I had given you. We practised on "breath groups" to read the extract with the proper accentuation. You learned some new vocabulary that you'll need to know for next time.
We also watched a selected scene from the movie and analysed the behaviours of the different protagonists. We said:
"The mother is getting more and more nervous as the conversation unfolds even though her husband tries to remain calm and the surgeon looks reassuring."
