Hi guys,
today we first finished the spelling bee that we had started yesterday and then we continued with a vocabulary exercise about school orders, rules, and classroom English expressions.
Finally we played the game called "Simon says..." where you had to do the actions I told you to do when I said for example:
"Simon says... open your books!"
We finished by listing the names of the flags in the classroom. We'll continue this next time.

Hi guys,
today was your spelling competition! We still have 3 candidates to go in order to finish the contest.
Let's hope they'll do as well as the ones who have already participated.
Don't forget to be polite, ask for a definition of the word, and ask to repeat if necessary.
See you next time.
Mr Hattais.

Hi guys,
today we worked on describing a picture and giving orders (negative ones: what you MUSTN'T do). You can have a look at the picture we used again below:
ex:
She's eating chewing-gum
They're chatting
He's using a mobile
He's writing on the desk
...
Giving orders (negative) = DON'T
- Don't eat chewing-gum in class
- Don't chat!
- Don't use a mobile!
- Don't write on the desk!
...

Hi guys,
today we continued the lesson about Akeelah and the bee, a spelling competition.
You can watch the trailer here again:
Here is what we said about it:
Lesson: Akeelah and the bee
The video is a trailer.
It's in the USA.
It's a spelling competition.
The title of the film is: "Akeelah and the bee".
The hero is a girl. Her name is Akeelah.
The music and the people are happy.
Questions:
"Can I get some water, please?"
"Can I start over?" / Can I repeat?
"May I have a definition?"
Vocabulary:
contestant = candidate / jury / audience = spectator
Strategy:

- Grégoire, you can download the MP3 version of the video and document you asked me for here:

Hi guys,
today we corrected your phonetics chart and learnt how to pronounce the words correctly according to their phonetic symbols.
Then we started a new activity about the trailer of the film "Akeelah and the Bee".You had to find the letters which were actually pronounced in the video.
You can watch it here again:

Homework:

Hi guys,
today we first made a quick recap of the different adjectives you need to know when you speak about feelings.
Then we continued the lesson with a "phonetics Bingo". You had to tick the names you heard to see if you had a bingo.
Finally, we completed the phonetics chart with the first names you heard according to their pronunciation.
__________________________
Homework:
