Hi guys,
today we finished the lesson about the Obamas with Malia birthday again. Here is what we wrote:
She was born on the 4th of July.
How old are you?
-> I'm eleven / twelve / ....
When were you born?
-> I was born on the 19th of October
on the ... of ... : attention à la prononciation de /of/ = [v]
The months of the year:
January / February / March / April / May / June / July / August / September / October / November / December

Homework:
- terminer le verso de la "Christmas stocking" en répondant aux 3 questions posées. Vous n'avez qu'à écrire les réponses en vous aidant des débuts de phrases proposées.
La 1ère question porte sur la description de l'image. Vous trouverez les mots nécessaires dans la fiche de vocabulaire.
La 2ème question porte sur vos goûts et les activités que vous aimez faire à Noël. N'oubliez pas que "LIKE" est suivi d'un verbe en -ing. Ex: I like skiing.
La 3ème question porte sur les cadeaux que vous voudriez avoir à Noël. Si vous ne connaissez pas le mot en anglais, cherchez-le dans un dictionnaire ou sinon faites avec les mots que vous connaissez déjà.

Hi guys,
today we wrote the lesson about the Obama sisters and what they like doing.
We explained the colour code (blue = subject or pronoun / purple and red = ending of the verb / green = verb+ing because there is "like" before).
Then we began to have a pair work about your favorite activities and your talents.
We'll finish this next time.

Hi guys,
today I checked your Xmas stockings and we wrote the words for the 12 months of the year (with the stress):
January / February / March / April / June / July / August / September / October / November / December
and then we continued the lesson about the Obama family and what the 2 daughters like doing.
We'll write the lesson next time but you can already get a sneak peak here (not in the copybook for the moment):

She likes dancing.
She likes playing soccer.
Sasha likes tap dancing.
She likes gymnastics.
Both Sasha and Malia like listening to “1D”
They like reading.
They like going to the library.
They like eating fried chicken.

Hi guys,
today we started to prepare Christmas together with the creation of "Christmas Stockings", an American tradition.
You had to draw a stocking and glue a picture in the center. You had to write the date corresponding to your picture at the top.
We'll finish this next time as we were interrupted by the fire drill.

Hi guys,
today we first wrote a small lesson about the Obama family.
In the Obama family, there are Sasha and Malia, the sisters. They are the daughters of Barack (Father) and Michelle (Mother).
Malia likes tap dancing.
The girls like listening to the boy band "One Direction".
Then we completed a small quiz about your health habits.

Hi guys,
today we dedicated the lesson to rehearsing your roles for the pair work about travelling to an English-speaking country.
We also paid attention to the way questions were to be asked = either with a falling intonation (down) or rising intonation (up).
Here is the rule:
- lorsque la question commence par un mot interrogatif comme "where" / "when" / "How long" / ..., l'intonation descend. ex: "Where are you from?"
- lorsque la question commence par un auxiliaire comme "be" (conjugué), "do", "may", "can", ... l'intonation monte. ex: "May I see your passport, please?"
You need to know by heart the meaning of your WH- words:
who / where / when / what / how long / how many / ...
________________________
Homework:
- corriger le devoir obligatoirement si vous avez eu moins de 20/40 et facultativement si vous avez eu plus. Utiliser une feuille séparée pour la correction et écrire toutes les réponses en s'aidant du cahier si besoin.
- préparez votre jeu de rôle. Répétez bien les deux rôles et faites attention à la prononciation des questions quand vous répétez le rôle de "customs officer".
