Hi guys,
today we corrected your exercise about acronyms and wrote down some more in your copybooks.
Then we continued the lesson with Max's story.
He is ALWAYS late!
He's late for school in the morning.
He's late for class in the afternoon.
He's late for the bus in the evening.
----------------
He is always running. He's very tired = he's dead!

Hi guys,
today we first did a role play with the teacher and Jennifer (absent / late!) and I also checked your alphabet.
Then we continued the class with a lesson about acronyms and their pronunciation.
Ex:
V.I.P. stands for Very Important Person
C.I.A. means Central Intelligence Agency
Strategy: Les mots transparents à l'écrit et l'accent de mot ("stress").
L'accent du mot peut être symbolisé soit par un accent au-dessus de la syllabe soit par un code de ronds.
Ex: Very Important Person = Oo oOo Oo

Hi guys,
today we first reviewed the alphabet once more. You REALLY need to know it by heart!
Then I checked that you knew your classroom English and we moved on with the lesson about greetings.
You can listen to the document here again:
Important vocabulary:
- teacher // pupil
- miss // sir
- morning // afternoon
- absent // late
________________________________
Homework:
- être capable d'épeler n'importe quel mot sans hésiter (exercez-vous en particulier avec votre nom et prénom).
- être capable de jouer le dialogue (cf. lesson). Plusieurs élèves seront interrogés pour faire soit le rôle du professeur, soit le rôle de la classe, soit le rôle de Jennifer.

Hello guys,
today was the second lesson of this year. First I checked you knew your ABC's and you knew how to spell your names correctly.
Then we had a sort of competition: "who will know the word I'm spelling?" First, I spelled out words for you (colours), then you did the teacher's job.
Nice work! This allowed us to review the name of the colours in English and Naïla was the most original one with the name of a city: L-O-S A-N-G-E-L-E-S
We also talked about classroom English expressions:
- Can you spell...?
- Can you repeat, please?
- Can you speak up?

Hi guys,
today we first practised introducing ourseleves very briefly. Here is what I told you about me (and you had to do the same for you):
My name's Philippe Hattais.
I'm 31 years old.
I live in Lyon.
My best friend is Dorothy. She lives in the USA.
Then we practised spelling our names. We then listened and sang along the "Alphabet Rap".
Good Job!
At the end of the lesson, you had to fill in your alphabet worksheet and colour the letters according to their sounds.
Download the worksheet here again:
