Hi guys,
today we first did a recap of what had said about Madame Tussaud's museum.
Then we continued listening to the document again and here is what we said:
Lucy took pictures with the Queen.
She didn't pull Camilla by the hair.
She kissed Brad Pitt.
She didn't see Charles Dickens.
She didn't put her fingers in the nose of Lady Diana.
She didn't make a moustache to Princess Anne.
-> Le prétérit est un temps simple = il n'y q qu'une seule marque du temps.
Affirmation: -ed / irrégulier
Négation: didn't + BV
Question: (wh-) did + sujet + BV ?
Ex: what did you do this week end? where did you go? Did you go to the cinema? Did you visit London?

Hi guys,
today we talked about your research about Madame Tussaud and her museum. You had to find information about her.
Then we listened to the document about Lucy's visit of London and to the famous wax museum.
Here are the verbs you could identify from the document:
- went (to) / travelled / took (photos) / executed (beheaded) / saw / kissed
-> Lucy went to the museum with her pen friend. They travelled back in time in the history section. They took photos of Henry VIII who executed two of his wives. They also took photos of the Royal family. They saw celebrities in the pop stars section. Lucy's pen friend kissed Brad Pitt.

Today we first discussed about Madame Tussaud's museum to make a recap of what we had said about it yesterday.
If you have your wax statue at the museum, it's because you're famous. For example, if you are a pop star (Lady Gaga), an actor (Brad Pitt), or a member of the Royal family (Camilla and Charles).
Then we listened to Lucy who talked about her visit to the wax museum. Here is what we said:
Lucy visited Madame Tussaud's with her pen friend.
They took photos of the Royal family.
They saw Henry VIII in the history section.
They went to the pop stars section and they kissed Brad Pitt! (the statue... not the real person...)

Hi everyone,
today we first talked about what you did during your holidays.
Lots of you went to your family or your family came to Lyon. You celebrated Christmas and the New Year. Some of you had lots of gifts.
Then we continued the class with a performance of Walid and Rhama that was rather good. As for the others, you didn't know your part... so I can't say you will have good marks.
Finally, we started to speak about the new sequence and Madame Tussaud's wax museum in London, the equivalent of the "Musée Grévin" in Paris.
I showed you some pictures of wax statues:
- Queen Elizabeth II
- Brad Pitt
- Camilla Parker Bowles
- Lady Diana
- Charles Dickens : he was a British writer.

Hi guys,
today after a quick recap of the situation in the play, you had to read the text with a part each.
We then worked on pronunciation of the /-age/ and /-ous/ endings.
Attention, ces suffixes non accentués ne se prononcent pas avec les lettres françaises mais avec un [i] pour /-age/ et un [ə] pour /-ous/
Examples:
- 'marriage / 'courage / 'orphanage / ...
- 'dangerous / 'suspicious / ...

- connaître la règle de prononciation des suffixes et savoir lire n'importe quel mot si l'accent tonique est indiqué.

Hi guys,
today we worked on the lesson about Anne Boleyn and Henry VIII. You tried to anticipate what they could say in a conversation about their break up. You came up with positive ideas. Here is what we finally wrote in the copybook:
Who? = Henry + Anne + lover (Percy) + Judge = 4 characters + the jury.
Where? = at Henry's castle
I'll kill you = you will be beheaded
I'm sorry. Please don't kill me = Have mercy on me.
You're not faithful. I hate you = I want a divorce.

Hi guys,
today you first had to take a test about Thanksgiving. It was a conversation you had to try and understand. I'll correct your copies a.s.a.p.
Then we continued the class with the parody of Henry VIII's life. You did quite a good job understanding. We didn't have time to copy the lesson but here is what you said:
Catherine was divorced because she didn't have a baby boy.
So, Henry married Anne because he didn't have a son. He had a daughter. He wanted a boy. Anne was beheaded because she loved another man.
Henry married Jane who had a son but she died in childbirth. He cried because he was sad. He really loved her.
He married Anne from Germany because he wanted to make a political alliance but he divorced her because she was ugly. She looked like a horse.
His 5th wife Catherine was beheaded because she loved another man too.
He finally married another Catherine who was like a baby sitter and a nurse. She survived Henry but she died one year later in childbirth too.
